Renpower seeks to empower and assist private homeowners to improve their home energy performance and comfort, by providing citizen-led one-stop shop (OSS) integrated home renovation services.
The project will achieve this by developing community-led replicable OSS models that streamline home energy renovation, and address energy poverty alleviation, to ensure a just energy transition for homeowners by fostering the exchange of knowledge of two citizen-led pioneering organisations in Spain and Ireland.
Basque energy cooperative Goiener will enter the OSS market, building on its long experience of energy poverty alleviation and community-owned renewable energy generation and supply. Irish Ecovision, who have been a pioneering organisation involved in citizen-led renovation work for over a decade, will expand the geographical area of their services, while also addressing energy poverty alleviation through behaviour change and scaled solutions.
Renpower is also committed to scaling up these efforts sharing this sustainable business model around Europe through UIPI. Our Replication Toolkit, will enable other EU regions to adopt our successful strategies, driving the clean energy transition forward.
All in all, Renpower aims to reduce residential energy consumption, promote renewable energy solutions and behaviour change, thus prevent rebound effects, and enhance energy sovereignty in both target countries.
