RENPOWER brings citizen-led renovations to Eskoriatza

On 8 October, RENPOWER’s local pilot in Eskoriatza was showcased during the municipality’s Green Week. Hosted at the Ibarraundi Museum and organised in collaboration with the local energy community Esnargi, the event attracted residents keen to explore ways to improve the energy efficiency and comfort of their homes.

Representatives from GoiEner and Esnargi presented the results of an in-depth assessment of a multi-apartment building in the town. The study highlighted potential energy efficiency improvements, tailored renovation pathways, and financing options designed for local needs. Speakers stressed the value of early diagnostics, community collaboration, and accessible guidance in supporting households throughout the renovation process.

Attendees also learned how RENPOWER, through GoiEner’s BiBiZi one-stop-shop services, helps citizen-led organisations guide communities with technical advice, building assessments, and access to available funding. This community-driven approach simplifies the renovation journey while empowering residents to make informed decisions about their homes.

Thank you to GoiEner’s Eider Iribar Solabarrieta and Ander Ayala Larrañaga (Goiener), and Esnargi’s Nestor Arana Arexolaleiba for the insights!
