On 1 October 2024, EU-funded project RENPOWER launched in Donostia (Spain). The project seeks to empower and assist private homeowners to improve their home energy performance and comfort, by providing citizen-led one-stop shops (OSS) integrated home renovation services.
RENPOWER will achieve this by developing community-led replicable OSS models that streamline home energy renovations, and address energy poverty alleviation, to ensure a just energy transition for homeowners by fostering the exchange of knowledge of two citizen-led pioneering organisations in Spain and Ireland.
RENPOWER is funded by the LIFE programme of the European Commission and is coordinated by energy cooperative Goiener S.Coop. and partnered by Ecovision, an Irish cooperative specializing in supporting homeowners and energy rehabilitation of their buildings and UIPI as representative of property owners. By joining forces, the three entities will broaden their knowledge and experiences at the European level to ensure that no home is left out of the energy transition.
